By understanding your client, almost as much as they understand themselves, you will be able to transform the typical customer-business relationship to a whole new level. Your client wants to know exactly what it is they are paying for, what the terms are, when it will be delivered, how it will be delivered, and what it will cost them. Do not withhold or omit any information in an attempt to lure them in, only to disappoint them later, that is how you lose credibility as a business. The more transparent you are with your client, the more they will know what to expect, and the better positioned you will be to meet and satisfy the client’s needs.

Drop the Assumptions

This is not just a business philosophy, but a marketing technique as well. Drop the assumption that practices that have worked well for other business (or your own) in the past will work for all subsequent dealings. Approach each client and their needs with a fresh perspective and reframe your approach based on their individual needs in order to truly understand how you can give them the best possible value.
