4 New Year’s Resolutions for an Epic Year

We are done with the reflections of the impending year because it’s finally upon us. Now it’s time to think about what kind of history we intend to leave in this chapter of our lives. It is all up to us – it can be as miserable or as epic as we want it to be. We, at our bus rental service in New Jersey, hope it will be the latter and in an attempt to make that a reality, we have compiled a list of resolutions that will give you a fantastic experience over the next 365 days.

1. Meditation

We have always been a huge advocate for meditation. Numerous studies have demonstrated the benefits of meditation. Not only does it boost your overall mood, but it has also been shown to increase the grey matter in your brain, which is involved with sensory perception, decision making, and self-control. In other words, if you make meditation a daily practice you will be better equipped and motivated to keep up with your resolutions. Begin your day with simple meditation in the morning and you will always have a clear sight of your goals throughout the day and, ultimately, throughout the year.

2. Stop Procrastinating

This may be a little obvious but if you want to experience all that 2019 has to offer, if you want to be all you can be this year, you have to make a conscious decision to stop procrastinating. If you have not achieved the previous year’s goals, it is more than likely that procrastination had a significant role to play. Make this the year you stop procrastinating and just get things done when you scheduled to do them. ‘Amateurs wait around for motivation, the rest of us just get up and go to work.’-Stephen King.

3. Build your Confidence

Confidence is simply having faith in your own abilities and your capacity to reach any goal you have put your mind to. Confidence is absolutely imperative when it comes to success; without confidence you will be paralyzed and never move towards the direction of your dreams. Further, confidence makes you more relaxed, happier, and more motivated, increasing your prospects for success. If you do not feel confident just yet, don’t worry, there are measures you can take to boost your confidence. For example, giving yourself credit for small successes and progress, taking consistent action towards the direction of your goals, and learning to internally view yourself as a success. Practicing these will boost your self-image and encourage you to keep forging forward every day throughout the year.

4. Conscientiousness

Eliminating procrastination and building confidence would mean absolutely nothing if you are not willing to execute all your tasks to the best of your ability. Conscientiousness is what distinguishes the extremely successful from the mediocre. Dedicate yourself to being punctual, being more organized, and executing your duties thoroughly on your quest towards achieving your goals and you will, no doubt, succeed.
