Things to Do in New Jersey: April 2019

The arrival of April marks the full bloom of spring; trees are greener, flowers are budding, birds are chirping, and the sun is burning brighter. If this is not a good reason to pull yourself out of that winter cocoon, we don’t know what is. Get out there and enjoy all the activities the cold weather has been preventing you from taking part in. Luckily, you don’t have to think about what to do too hard; our New Jersey bus Service specialists have taken it upon itself to do some research and come up with a short list of some of the most exciting leisure events and activities scheduled for the month of April in the Garden State.

For all your spring adventures, we recommend contracting the services of a reputable car service like our New Jersey ground transportation service. Enjoy a stress-free, chauffeured ride to any one of these venues. All you have to do is relax, revel in the company of your friends and family, enjoy the deluxe amenities, and look forward to the impending experience with the comfort of knowing that a trained professional is behind the wheel.

Annual Cherry Blossom Festival

Head over to the Branch Brook Park in Newark from the 6th to the 14th of April for the Annual Cherry Blossom Festival. Here you will get to witness the second largest display of Cherry Blossoms in the United States next to the Cherry Blossom Display in Washington, DC. There are over 3,000 cherry trees in the park all coming together to create a colorful wonderland that can be enjoyed on a casual stroll through the park or a picnic on the park’s lush lawns. The week-long event also features trolley bus tours, a 10K race, and a Japanese cultural festival, including origami and martial arts demonstrations.

Jersey City Craft Brew Fest

The Craft Beer Festival is scheduled to go down on the 13th of April between 6 pm and 10 pm at Harborside Atrium along Hudson Street in Jersey City. This event will be held in honor of Oktoberfest, the customary German beer celebration. At the Harborside Atrium you will get to enjoy over 150 craft beers and ciders from various New Jersey breweries. Attendees will enjoy free samples of craft beers throughout the duration of the event as well as live music entertainment, bites, and a number of interactive games.

The Green Festival

This will be the 11th annual event of its kind. The Green Festival will be held on Irvin Avenue in Cillingswood on the 13th of April between 9 am and 2 pm. Here you will get to learn more about organic gardening, renewable energy, sustainable food options, smart green living, and you will also have a chance to explore a variety of delicacies from local restaurants all while enjoying live music entertainment. In honor of America Recycles Day and Earth Day, Collingswood County will be offering attendees rain barrels and compost bin at a 50% discount off the retail price. Don’t miss this amazing opportunity.
